Coming from a humble back ground, received primary & higher secondary education in normal state govt institutes. Since childhood dreamed to serve the fellow human being with the theme “Serve to Human being Is To Serve the God” impacted me a lot to choose the medical profession as my career. This burning desire helped me to crack successfully All India Medical Entrance Exam, Odisha Joint Entrance exam, BHU entrance, OUAT Entrance exam (First Topper) all in a single academic year without any help of any special coaching at that time.
Fortunate & Proud enough to receive my primary professional training (MBBS) degree from prestigious Madras Medical College (MMC), Chennai, Tamil Nadu under All India Category. It taught me the highest level of basic medical knowledge, education & training from great teachers of MMC with unparallel dedication, punctuality & sincerity to medical profession.
Then I got selected in one of the most competitive All India Entrance exam to do my Post Graduation in MS (SURGERY) in PGIMER, Chandigarh, country’s one of the best institutes which has only post graduate training program. It is really unique to train the post graduate trainees what is the highest level of dedication, ethical medical practice, commando like training in medical profession to increase your physical & mental endurance & research activity in medical field. It really helps to distinguishes you from others & places you in highest category in comparison to your other professional colleague.
Because of my inherent interest in the field of Gastroenterology, after successful completion of my Post graduation in MS (SURGERY) I moved to GB Pant Hospital in New Delhi, the only SuperSpeciality hospital under Delhi Govt which has one of the best GASTRO SURGERY department in country. It is one of the high-volume centers of Gastro Surgery conducting all varieties of complex GI Surgeries, GI Cancer & Advance Laparoscopic Surgery. It helped me to have wide variety of exposure & training in handling any complex difficult cases in Gastroenterology field, refined my surgical technique & confidence.
After getting primary training in Surgical Gastroenterology, to enhance further my knowledge, experience & refinement, I cracked All India AIIMS Competitive Entrance exam in super specialty category as FIRST Rank holder, which considered toughest one to get selected , ultimate dream of any medical professional to get training in the most premier institute of India, AIIMS New Delhi. It taught me highest degree of ethical medical practice, knowledge, research in medical field. Successfully completed my MCh Superspecilaity degree in GI Surgery & Liver Transplantation & decided to move back to my state after 15years of exciting & grueling training outside state, to help my state people to provide highest level of medical care in the Gastrointestinal & Liver diseases.
Received Liver Transplantation training in AIIMS, New Delhi, Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon, Yashoda Hospital Hyderabad & Advance Laparoscopic Surgery in GEM Hospital, Coimbatore.
Awarded a number of National & International prestigious Fellowship in Surgery & Advance Laparoscopic Surgeries (FAIS, FIMSA, FMAS, FIAGES, EFIAGES, FALS-HPB Surgery, FALS-Hernia Surgery, FALS-Bariatric Surgery, FALS-Colorectal Surgery, FALS-Upper GI Surgery).
Published a number of scientific research paper in the field of Gastrointestinal Surgery & scientific presentation in National & International Conferences.
Previously worked in AMRI Hospital, Bhubaneshwar as Consultant GI Surgeon & Narayana Hospital as trainer to MCh GI surgery students.
Previously worked as HOD & Asso. Professor in Surgical Gastroenterology, IMS & SUM Hospital, Bhubaneshwar. Pioneered to start MCh. Surgical training program in Surgical Gastroenterology First time in Odisha. Pioneered in conducting 1st ever Liver Transplant in Odisha which was acknowledged by the Governor of Odisha.
